‘Bombora’ is Felicity Palmateer’s first collection of water colour prints, etched surf boards and individually handcrafted ceramics. After months of creating, we were so proud to see Flic unveil the works last Thursday night at The William Street Gallery in Paddington, Sydney.
Derived from Indigenous Australian culture, ‘Bombora’ translates as waves that form over offshore reef. Flic grew up on the coast of Western Australia and enjoyed a home environment where surfing and art was a part of everyday life. It’s no surprise then that the collection is inspired by her roots, deep-seated love of the ocean and conservation and life as a global nomad.
