DIY TAHITIAN FLOWER CROWN
We took some time away from the surf to learn how to make beautiful Tahitian flower crowns.
So easy and lots of fun...
Thanks to Tiki Village, Moorea for the lessons in traditional Tahitian Culture.
What you’ll need:
String or ribbon of any kind
Flowers and leaves from the garden.
Pick some of your favourite flowers and leaves from the garden.
Select a few long fern stems to use as a base. Twist them around each other, intertwining the stems until they’re long enough to wrap around your head.
Using the string, secure flowers along the length of the fern leaves (leave about 10cm of string to tie off at the end)
Continue to add more flowers and leaves, wrapping each one at its base.
Once your crown is full of flowers, tie both ends together.
