RECIPE: How to make ginger shots

Ginger shots, both a flu fighter and revitalizer with just the right amount of punch to get you moving in the morning. Might we add, it’s also a great natural remedy used for varying medicinal purposes. It’s great for your digestive system, helps with muscle soreness and pain and can even help fight infections….sounds good by us! The added lemon not only brings the flavor to the next level, but is also jam-packed with vitamin C, acts as a natural antioxidant and promotes hydration! Time to get on board, the ginger shot game…

Here’s what you’ll need to make your own ginger shots…

Fresh Ginger

A peeler

A blender, juicer or food processor

Cayenne pepper (if you want an extra kick)


A strainer

Start by shaving off the outer part of the ginger. You can skip this step as the strainer will also help separate the unwanted or if you have a good juicer, you’re golden.

Squeeze the lemon juice into a small bowl and add to the ginger. We like an extra touch of lemon for taste! Afterwards, refrigerate until cold.

If you want to take it up a notch, add a touch of cayenne pepper and enjoy!
