Water Colour Madness
Okay so the last few days the weather has been a little bit miserable at home here in Perth and it may have just been a blessing in disguise! So I scrambled around in my room and found my paintbrushes and my favourite medium to work with which are inks, and got painting.
Here is the outcome! What do you think???
These first three pictures are just some quick little paintings that I did in my sketchbook to get the creative juices flowing haha!
For the next few images I thought I would show you some of the steps I took that led me to painting the last picture, which is of the whales. I'm actually donating this piece to the Paint for a Porpoise organisation. They are having the auction to raise money for organisatoin and promote the awareness of Surfers for Cetaceans. If you wish to attend it's at the Cabarita Surf Life Saving Club on September 3rd and 4th.
Okay so I thought that I would try and show you my workspace, it always starts off clean but then ends up taking me days to clean haha
The next one just shows the faint outline of the whales, which I drew in. I have a smaller scaled drawn picture of it, which made it easier to draw onto the bigger piece of paper.
This next one is just after I have finished painting in the background.
Beats are essential for me to stay on task, thanks to my laptop. Finally after a few hours I started to fill in the whales and get a bit more detailed.
There you have it, the finished piece. Hope you like it and can make it to the auction ?
