Furnace Carbon Ultra Wetsuit: The Pinnacle of Technical Innovation
The newest Billabong wetsuit is the Furnace Carbon Ultra - a technical wetsuit designed and built with Japanese innovation and meant for the core surfer. The Furnace Carbon Ultra keeps your warmer, drier and allows for more flexibility out in the water making it an essential during the cold winter months when boardshorts aren't an option.
The Furnace Carbon Ultra is lined with 60% Japanese Kiwami carbon fiber yarns that conduct thermal body heat that makes the inside of the suit warmer using only your body heat. The lining, while extremely warm, remains flexible and easy to surf in due to the knitting process undertaken when constructing the suit. We chose carbon fiber because it's both lightweight and strong, making the Furnace Carbon Ultra a lightweight wetsuit that's still durable so you won't have to buy a new suit every year.
The Furnace Carbon Ultra features our proprietary DryMax entry system designed to keep water out and keep you warm. The DryMax entry system combines an internal membrane that is enveloped by an external closure, keeping water out from the minute you paddle out to your last wave of the day.
Most wetsuits require a trade off between warmth, dryness or flexibility but the Furnace Carbon Ultra was tested and designed to maximize range of motion while keeping the surfer warm and dry. The exclusive X-Flex back seam positioning removes any restriction from the under arm to the lateral area of your body, making it easy to paddle. The panelling that comprises the Furnace Carbon Ultra was placed and designed for stretch so you don't feel restricted anywhere in your body when you're out in the water.
